I legitimately saw an Ant/ say “pedophilia = someone 18 or above liking somebody under 18” and i couldn’t help but laugh at how wrong about what that word means

I feel like I know why antis don’t like sheith, it’s because it gets in the way of klance or whatever, so they demonize the ship so that they seem like klance is the only “good” ship. But why do antis not like otayuri? I’m so lost.

I don’t know why either. They claim it’s because they age gap is gross, but I suspect they just hate when anything besides Victuri/Yuuri/Victor gets attention. And since Otayuri is the second most popular ship, it gets more attention than they like which equals less people fawning over Victuri. I think they’d hate whatever ship came in second behind Victuri tbh

How has been things on YOI recently, i just know about the movie XD any more cute Otayuri art came recently or something? i still love them despite not been much active on YOI fandom recently XD

Nothing super new, no. They did release photos of Otabek’s nendoroid, and included Yurio’s nendo in a couple shots which gave us some cuteness~

Me and my gf have the same age gap as Otayuri, guess that makes me a pedo as im the older one (Although we want to be REALLY trchnical, viktor and Yuuri have a bigger gap so wouldnt that be more problematic than otayuri?)(i am aware that it has nothing to do with logic or being against smthing problematic it boils down to “ur ship takes attention away from my ship and we have created a culture where we tear down what we dont like” )

Like I’m glad they’re not calling Eiji/Ash pedophilia, because ofc it’s not. But why can’t they apply that common sense to other ships?
