the museum scene is really the first time we see ash the way people like golzine and yut-lung see him – a wild, untamed beast. until now, we see him through his friends’ eyes and eiji’s loving gaze; we’ve seen the struggles and choices and all the things that make ash who he is, a complex human being who’s done bad things when backed into a corner, but to people like golzine, arthur, and even yut-lung and sometimes blanca, ash is a dangerous and unpredictable monster of their own creation, someone whos not wholly human
