You mentioned in an earlier ask people thinking Otabek was so much older than Yuri bc of how the antis carried on about Otabek being a pedo and all this shit… I was talking to a young writer and they expressed guilt over shipping Otayuri because “Otabek is Victor’s age and Yuri’s only 13 or 14, right?” Imagine the poor kid’s relief when I told them Yuri was 16 and Otabek 18. They do the same to Shiro calling him middle aged and it’s weird, gross and childish (what are they like 9 or smth?)
That’s so freakin depressing. Antis are such liars and exaggerate these age gaps, that clueless people who aren’t in the fandom genuinely believe these ships are like 13 year olds with 30 year olds.
