People who want to shut down Ao3 are the antivaxers of fandom tbh
Ao3 & OTW: is the crowning achievement of fandom, protects all fans’ right to create content, maintains a safe and stable archive to host that content without profiteering or interference from corporate interests

Not that fandom was ever perfect but I don’t think people were ever this horrible about boundaries until antis came along. They’re the ones stealing art for callout posts, exposing minors to nsfw work they shouldn’t just have sprung up on them. All out of spite. They steal our work to crash through boundaries and shove into peoples’ faces just to say “hey, don’t you hate whoever made this?” But it’s their fault. It’s because of them that people get to see this shit unsolicited because they steal it from us for the express purpose of blaming us for all the people THEY exposed to it. They take it out of context, erase tags of abuse or noncon or whatever else there was to be upset over, then show it to people who get upset or even triggered by those things. So they can blame us. So they can say “do you know how many people had to see your nasty shit?” As many people as you showed it to. As many vulnerable teenage survivors as you have following you. Whoever goes onto your blog to see who they should blame for what YOU exposed them to.
who’s going to tell the antis that most fictional incest pairings are m/m and that realistically, none of them could get pregnant and have deformity babies?
this is of course not counting odd AUs seen for fandoms that are “gay inbreeding” based but they are uncommon and subject to hitting the back button if you don’t want to see

Okay I like… never see people “constantly go one about loving incest.” Do y’all? Like yeah there are people who ship incest, but they’re not going around screaming “incest is so HOT!!1!” It’s like antis make up some fake mythical creature. I see antis complain more about incest shippers, when most shippers are pretty quiet and calm and minding their own business and tagging their stuff.
Also – brace yourself people in the screenshot – it’s possible to like something in fiction and disapprove of it in real life at the same time. 😮 Shocking I know. Example, I kinda like one or two incest ships, but when I hear about an actual news story where people were arrested for incest (usually it involves a baby being born) it makes me horrified.
